A US client (cardiac monitor manufacturer) was using a proprietary engine which had an annual licensing cost of $25,000. SeyfertSoft helped the client transition to an Open-source counterpart. Thus, leading to increased cost saving.
The ‘cost saving’ Solution
SeyfertSoft was able to study the existing proprietary engine (Iguana) of the customer and transition all the configurations and customizations to Nextgen Mirth’s Opensource version, within a few weeks’ time which led to immense cost saving. SeyfertSoft provided an added feature set of alerting and smart notification system, that wasn’t configured by the client in the previous engine.
Result
The cardiac monitor manufacturer now has a cost saving of approximately $25,000 in yearly licensing fees. But they achieve the same functionality, delivery, and performance using a cost-free Open-Source implementation.
Cost saving – How did we do it?
To explain, let’s first provide essential context about ourselves. We at SeyfertSoft have been in the healthcare interoperability domain for close to a decade now. We understand interoperability standards, measures, and technologies, and possess great expertise in various interfacing engines and program areas. You can read about this here. Since, we work with multiple interfacing engines, we understand their pros and cons as well the cost advantages one engine might bring over the others. While some interfacing engines are open source and ‘free’, others come with steep costs (while offering some valuable features and tools). We at SeyfertSoft understand the right tool for the right job, done at the right cost!
Hence, we ended up saving our client’s money.
Are you a healthcare organization looking for healthcare interfacing solutions or do you have an existing set of interfaces that you are looking to migrate to a reliable, robust alternative that not just provides you with cost saving but is also performant, HIPAA complaint as well as completely managed?
